At Jessica Bloom we understand that this can be a daunting process at the beginning. Here are the answers to a few questions you might have about getting your dream bespoke wedding dress made.
If you would like to know more, please feel free to send us a message. We're here to answer any of your questions or to explain how to get your bespoke wedding dress experience started. There's no cost or obligation.
How long does the whole process take?
A minimum of 3 months is required but we do book out in advance so get in contact as soon as possible to secure your place.
Do you need to have a design idea before coming to us?
No. You don’t even need to know what you want. We start from the very beginning with every bespoke gown so there is no need to do any research ahead of time (although you're more than welcome to if you want).
Do we copy other designs?
No. You may come with some inspirational images of gowns made by other designers, but we will not replicate an existing design.
How much will it cost?
Each bespoke gown is a one-off creation so there is no set price. Once an initial design has been established a price will be set. As a guide most gowns are around $4,000 and increase from there but very simple gowns can be less.
Can the price change?
Once we have agreed on the design and fabric a price will be set. This price will not change unless there are major changes to the design or final fabric. Any changes in price will be discussed with you and agreed to before new work begins
Do you have to live in the Wellington region?
Every bespoke gown is fitted to your exact measurements. This process can be time-consuming and it often takes several in-person fittings to get it just right. If you are out of the Wellington region, please get in touch to see how we might make this work.
